Film Committee

AT A RECENT MEETING, the Central Committee of American Defense Dartmouth Group authorized the formation of a sub-committee on the Motion Picture to promote the use of current war films such as those produced by the Office of War Information, the Coordinator of Inter-American Affairs, the National Film Board of Canada, the British Library of Information, and other similar agencies. The committee's first action will be the extensive preview of these films followed by appropriate program grouping. As soon as the programs have been selected, they will be made available to all local groups in and near Hanover which can guarantee an audience of 25 or more.

The plan is designed to assist in the wider distribution of war information through existing clubs, organizations and fraternities. Projector and films will be provided without charge by Dartmouth College Films as a war contribution. The committee includes R. Haven Falconer '39, chairman, Chauncey N. Allen '24, Allen R. Foley '20, and W. Benfield Pressey.
