To DISPROVE campus reports that "hundreds" of undergraduates had left College during the present fall semester, Registrar Robert O. Conant '13 dug into his records during the middle of November and came up with the fact that only 46 men, or 2.3% of the 2,009 undergraduates who started the term, had withdrawn from College since September.
The largest class group to leave was that of 16 from the sophomore class. Fifteen seniors withdrew during the same period, while the loss in the junior class was six and in the freshman class, nine.
