FIFTEEN UNDERGRADUATES and 8 prospective students were the guests of 57 alumni at the annual Christmas get-together Saturday noon December 27. The oldest class represented was 1893 by Harry N. McLaren, while Alan C. Davis anticipated membership in the class of 1952.

John R. McLane '07, a Life Trustee, commented on the College's readjustment in all phases of its activities, particularly the speeding up of the semester curriculm. He concluded his remarks with, "You may be sure that Dartmouth will be in a position in this war where we shall continue to be proud of our Dartmouth connections."

In keeping with the customary program, Dick Burns '42, captain of varsity baseball, acted as chairman of the undergraduate division and introduced the following, who discussed the subjects indicated: Bob Hickey '42, football; Rogers Blood '44. track; James Spanos '45, basketball; Charles McDowell '44, hockey; while Dick himself covered the baseball situation.

During and following the luncheon, Bradley Long '44 of Portsmouth played several accordian solos. The balance of the musical program was handled by Dick Willis '22, Bob Booth '22, and John Gault '95. Hubie McDonough '18 president of the association, and toastmaster, urged all students whose careers are interrupted before graduation to retain the firm resolve to go back and graduate if at all possible, following discharge from service. This sound counsel came from an authoritative source, because that is exactly what Hubie did in 1917 and 1918.
