John W. Potter '19, editor and copublisher of the Rock Island (111.) Argus and acting president of the Inland Press Association is one of five publishers' associations' representatives to accept invitations from Byron Price, director of the U. S. Office of Censorship, to serve as an advisory council on newspaper censorship. The American Newspaper Publishers Association, the American Society of Newspaper Editors, the National Editorial Association, and the Southern Newspaper Publishers Association are the others to be represented on the council which will deal with the voluntary code of wartime practices for American newspapers. A similar council of broadcasting officials will be appointed to consult about administration of the radio code.

Mr. Potter's side-kick on the RockIsland Argus is his brother, Ben H. Potter '2l, president of the Rock Island Broadcasting Company which operates Station WHBF.
