Yankee Commentator

Cedric Foster '24, news commentator on Boston's Yankee-Colonial Network, read President Hopkins' "A Layman's Prayer" over WAAB on Christmas Day and reports having been deluged by requests for copies. "A Layman's Prayer" was given by President Hopkins as his Christmas message to the College and the community at Dartmouth's annual Christmas Carol Service on December 14.

Mr. Foster, who wais one of the organizers of WTHT, broadcasting division of The Hartford Times, joined the executive staff of the Yankee Network last year and went on the air from Boston on June 22, the same day that Hitler stepped into Russia.

His "News Out of Europe," broadcast over WAAB and commercially sponsored in 10 cities, may be heard over 85 to 100 coast-to-coast stations at g p.m. every day. At 10 p.m. on Saturday, and frequently on Friday at the same hour, he may be heard over the Mutual Broadcasting System.
