1942 Commencement

ACCORDING TO PRESENT plans for Dart. mouth's 1942 Commencement on the week-end of Saturday and Sunday, May 9 and 10, graduation exercises and Baccalaureate will be held jointly in Webster Hall on the morning of May 10. A simplified program in keeping with the national war effort is being arranged by the College.

The 1942 events open with a Phi Beta Kappa meeting on Saturday morning, after which Class Day exercises will be held on the campus. The Board of Trustees will hold a luncheon for seniors, their fathers, and the faculty that afternoon, and the track team will meet Harvard in the feature athletic event. The Dartmouth Players' annual Commencement play and the Commencement Ball are the main events of Saturday evening.

The combined Baccalaureate and Commencement exercises are scheduled for Sunday morning at 11. President and Mrs. Hopkins will be at home to the graduating class and their guests Sunday afternoon, and the two-day program will close that night with a Glee Club concert and a second showing of Dartmouth movies.
