A recent focus of the war in Burma has been Toungoo, where Harry Marshall, of late years, has been located, and which, after vigorous fighting, has been captured by the Japanese. Nothing has been heard from Harry, but, as reported in a recent issue, the Baptist Mission Board some time ago gave news that all their missionaries were well and that plans were laid for their evacuation in advance of any possibility of invasion. It is assumed that these plans were carried out. The Secretary is doing his best to obtain definite word of Harry's present whereabouts.

On April 3 Clarence McDavitt departed on the Atlantic Clipper for London to attend the session of the International Labor Organization, of which he is a delegate, to be held in that city. He expects to return the last part of this month.

Information has recently been received of the family of John Wood, who entered college with '99, but was graduated with 1900 and later attended the Thayer School. John, who died in 1910, was one of the first of our members to go from us. He had two children, both of whom predeceased him. His widow married again in 1912 and died in 1914. John's mother, however, is still alive, now 90 years of age. Most of her life was spent in Norwich, Vt., but she is now living with her daughter at 530 West iaad Street, in New York City.

Ted Cate has changed his home address in Pittsburg to 6210 Howe St.

On March 7 the Secretary's youngest son Stuart, a member of the class of 1937, was married to Miss Virginia Campbell, a graduate of the Katherine Gibbs School, and in recent years secretary to Treasurer Edgerton. The ceremony was held in the Pilgrim Congregational Church at Nashua, N. H., the Reverend W. T. Knapp, pastor of the church officiating. The attendants were Mrs. Daniel T. Retson, of Nashua, sister of the bride, and Edward L. Richardson '29, of Marblehead, Mass., brother of the groom.
