News from the Feminine Side of 1906. Marguerite Brooks has sold her house in Gloucester and is temporarily living in Rockport.... Florence Herr writes that Ned Jr. is living in Woodbury, Vt., which is near enough so she can visit with the grandchildren frequently. Spent a week with Virginia's four children in Richmond, Va., last spring. ... Gertrude Smith writes from Brattleboro, Vt., that her younger daughter, who lives near her, has two fine boys. Her older daughter, Miriam, still lives in Shreveport, La., but every summer brings her three boys to Lake Memphremagog for a New England vacation.

Anne Meservey advises that both of her granddaughters and both of her grandsons are well and nappy and a great joy to her. Margaret Libby reports that Elizabeth, now 15, hopes to get into Smith in 1956. The younger daughter, Margaret, is in sixth grade. Henriette Gage writes that on Alumni Day, May 8, Jesse's portrait was unveiled at Blair Academy. Anne terry has promised to be present at our 50th Reunion and we hope a great many other widows will be there also. Winifred Glaze writes that "Pitcher" is in excellent health and is enjoying the two grandchildren, who are now living in Cambria.

Hallie Smith reports that the eighth grandchild arrived in July. Her older daughter, Josephine Glover, has two boys and two girls and her younger daughter, Connie Carpenter, has four children. They all spent a month with her this summer. Madalyne Brock also has eight grandchildren. The older daughter has two children, the second daughter has three, the older son has two and the younger son one. Alma Milliam spent a busy summer in Hanover entertaining the three Milham grandchildren from California. Jeanette and Noble Bowlby were in Margaretsville, Nova Scotia, from June to October. Weather was quite cool most of the time. Elizabeth Miles, Olive Blood's daughter, presented Olive another grandson on August 5. Christian Thomas Miles.

Eton Pratt is now a full member of the Wanderer's Club. Has been in and out of forty cities since June 1.

Dave Main and his wife spent the last part of the summer in New Hampshire with their daughter Betty. On his way home he stopped over in New York and Joe Nuelle, LonnieRuss and I spent a very enjoyable evening with him.

Warner White reports that the visits from Carol and Edna did very little damage to the island of Nantucket. The yachts in the harborwere hardest hit but the damage was lessened by the efforts of "Portuguese Pete" and himself. (See Page 36 in September Life magazine.)

Harold Rugg arrived in New York on September 27 after spending four months wandering around Europe.
