Edward Dana Knight '16 of Charleston, W. Va., who authored an article in the ALUMNI MAGAZINE a few years ago advocating the raising of dogs as a profitable and healthful hobby, was elected a member of the Board of Directors of the American Kennel Club in April.
"Tuscawilla," his registered kennel name which is Indian for twin ponds, now has these champions: eight Springer, two English Setter, one Cocker and a Smooth Fox Terrier. His Pointers and Setters have placed some 75 times in field trials. In recent years, he has judged important bench shows in the East, South and Mid-West; numerous Spaniel, Retriever, Foxhound and Coonhound trials; and such bird dog trials as the American Field Pheasant Futurity, and Northern States Field Trial Association.
Mr. Knight is president of Virginian Electric, Inc. and Knight and Couch Coal Cos. and has a son, Edward D. Knight Jr., Dartmouth '44.
