COL. HENRY TEAGUE 'OO was host to the members of the Association and visiting alumni at a steak dinner held in the Trade Winds Hotel, Fort Lauderdale, the third Friday of March.
Thirty-four men enjoyed Col. Teague's hospitality. After the dinner Bob Burnap, at the request of the president, George Loehr, expressed to Col. Teague the thanks of the Association. Two of the Colonel's more prominent guests were then called on. Sig Larmon '14, president of the Alumni Council, brought us up to date on happenings at Hanover and told of some future plans for the College. F. H. Leggett '9B, a former president of the Council, gave us some very interesting sidelights on his impressions of the Japanese people from his three-year stay in Japan. The Colonel then asked the oldest alumni member present, Bill Earle '90, to say a few words. Also the youngest, Lt. Don Tenney '40, U. S. N., gave us some interesting sidelights of his college days. With the Colonel's permission the president then called on Colman Judd '36, Chairman of the Nominating Committee, to present the nominations of officers for the coming year. They are as follows: president Art Sporborg '09, Ist v-pres. Herb Clark 'ii, 2nd v-pres. Bob Sanderson '11, sec'y-treas. Don Bunting '34.
On motion that nominations be closed, Doc Eaton '93 moved that the Secretary cast one vote for the unanimous election of the officers nominated which was seconded and carried by voice approval. Former star football player, Joe Beer '14 then led a Wah-Hoo-Wah for Col. Teague and the dinner, a most excellent one served under Chet Wescott's direction by an efficient Trade Winds staff.
