CONFIDENCE, COURAGE, DETERMINATION, cheerfulness. If the College can contribute anything to its students and to its older sons, widely scattered throughout the country and on distant battle seas and firing fronts, its support of what they are now doing and of what lies ahead could not be stronger than to ask for a high spirit.
"Ideals are ultimately the most practicalthings in the world" said Trustee William W. Grant 'O3 in his splendid address to the seniors, their fathers, and the faculty. Ideals will continue to be the highest objective of the College whose sons are now fighting for ideals—fighting with courage, confidence, determination—and with asmile.
