ESTABLISHMENT OF an annual W. J. and C. H. Mayo Memorial Lectureship in the field of medicine and surgery has been announced by President Hopkins. This lectureship honoring the brothers who founded the Mayo Clinic is based on funds contributed by Dr. Waltman Walters '17 of Rochester, Minn., and Mrs. Walters.

The memorial was created at Dartmouth as "a stimulating factor in interesting men in medicine and surgery and, particularly, to call attention to the accomplishments of Drs. W. J. and C. H. Mayo in these fields." Dr. Walters, a member of the surgical staff at the Mayo Clinic, has entrusted the administration of the Mayo Lectureship to the Dartmouth Medical School.
