GUEST SPEAKER AT THE ANNUAL spring meeting and dinner of the North Shore Dartmouth Club on Tuesday, May 26, was Bill Cunningham '19, columnist extraordinary. The get-together was held at the Tedesco Country Club in Marblehead, and attendance numbered more than 100. Expressing his belief that the older, endowed colleges will have to face many critical problems, and particularly a financial problem during the war, Bill Cunningham closed with an appeal to Dartmouth men to rally to the strong support of the College and the nation. He asserted that everyone must take the war seriously and be willing to make whatever personal sacrifices are necessary, and appealed to us as Dartmouth men to do our part in striving "to hold the nation together for those fellows who are out there fighting."

Judge Ralph W. Reeve '09 as president of the club, introduced the speaker. Edward R. Butterworth '30 was chairman of the dinner committee. The oldest class represented was '89, by Harry M. Frost, of Swampscott.

The following men were elected to office for the coming year: Roland Booma 'go, president; Daniel B. Ruggles Jr. '21, first vice president; William Welch '23, second vice president, and Edward R. Butterworth '30 re-elected secretary.

The nominating committee consisted of Dean A. Munsey '13, chairman; Glenn W. Bartram '3O, James H. Sisk Jr. '15 and Thomas A. Nichols '13.

Seated at the head table in addition to Judge Reeve, Edward R. Butterworth, and Bill Cunningham, were Laurence H. Bankart '10 of the executive committee,

"Mike" Gulian, one of Brown University's famed "iron man" football team of a few years ago; President-elect Booma and First vice president-elect Ruggles.
