Governor R. E. Baldwin of Con- necticut has appointed Carl Lund- gren '2B, Ansonia attorney, to become his executive secretary on September 26. On that date Howard W. Alcorn '23, who is now the Governor's secretary, will leave to become a Judge of the Superior Court.

The Governor has had one other secretary during his two terms of office, James B. Lowell '27, who is now Finance Commissioner of the state. It seems that one has to be a Dartmouth man to be Governor Baldwin's secretary.
