IN THE AUGUST issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE a report was carried in these columns from the Dartmouth Club of Hawaii. The statement was made that "The Dartmouth Club of Hawaii was successfully launched at a luncheon meeting June 9." This is an error since the organization has existed for many years. It has been and continues to be one of Dartmouth's most active alumni groups. Dr. Arthur W. Duryea '2l has, over a period of time, carried the brunt of work in maintaining organization and activity of the Dartmouth Club of Hawaii. He has had much good help from such Dartmouth stalwarts as Donald H. Miller Jr. '37, Sidney Walker '91, Harry Muchmore '04, Frank McLaughlin '30, Alexander Atherton '36, and others. A sizeable delegation of Hawaiians has been included in the undergraduate body of the College during the Club's active existence.
