Learning that Fred Woodcock had recently visited a doctor, I wrote him at his present year-round address in Ashburnham and I am attaching his reply as it fits in with the rhymes Allison composed in November, 1942, which the secretary feels will bring to life happy memories of the class of Ninety One and may interest the class of Ninety.

"It was mighty nice of you to send me the message received recently. I thank you. It really is not too comforting, after using a machine for 75 years, to be told it needs a little more care than it has been having. But it has done a pretty good job, so I'm not complaining. I am hoping that, by being careful, it will 'tick' for some time yet. If my old chum, Allie,' can make poetry out of that '9l baseball team, he'll be going some. The only game I can recall was the one we played against St. Johnsbury Academy our Freshman Year. If I am correct, our team made 15 hits, and Frank, John Abbott and I made 12 of them. I think that game was about the beginning of Abbott's career as a 3rd baseman; and I'll say that Dartmouth never had a better one."

(Since the above was prepared word has come of the death of Woodcock and an account of his life has been prepared for "In Memoriam.")

"Sailor" Cook has gone to live with his son at 47 Willow St., Waltham, Mass.
