MEETING in the Trophy Room of the Gymnasium on Monday, October 11, members of the civilian College held their last gathering of the term at Sing Out, traditional farewell for outgoing students. President Hopkins, presiding at the affair, introduced the other speakers, Dean Strong '24 and Professor Allan Foley '20. The theme of all the talks dealt with the role of the civilian student in wartime and the prospective role of those who are about to enter the armed services.

Sing Out was established as a Dartmouth custom approximately 150 years ago and was usually in the form of a final chapel service presided over by the President of the College. This year's gathering was somewhat more informal. Following the speakers, the program assumed a lighter note with acts of magic by John Wolfe '46, movies of the Holy Cross game explained by Coach Earl Brown, and cider and doughnuts for everyone.
