THE STAFF OF INSTRUCTORS at The Infantry School has taken on a decidedly "Big Green" hue. "Are there any questions?" and "Can you hear me at the top of the stands (or rear of the room)?" have become a daily chant with the fourteen alumni assigned here to the giving end of preparing future platoon leaders. Here is the current roster: ADMINSTRATION and TRAINING, Lts. J. French Jr. 'go, W. E. Geraghty '37, J. H. Gray '37; COMBAT TRAINING, Lt. R. Paul '44; COMMUNICATIONS, Lt. R. Bramley '40; FIELD ENGINEERING, Lt. H. E. Bottjer '37; LOGISTICS, Lt. D. Duffy '38; MACHINE GUN, Lts. W. Frick '36, T. Rowland '38, C. Ryan '32; MEDICAL, Capt. J. Hardham '36; and MORTAR, Lts. R. Francis '38, C. P. Smith '40, C. Von Pechmann '38.
Seven additional alumni are assigned to various duties at TIS, as follows: ADJUTANT GENERAL, Col. Thornton Chase '11; CLASSIFICATION SECTION, AGO, Lt. J. D. Frisby '31; DEMONSTRATION TROOPS, Lts. R. Bogue '34, T. Gates '40; SPECIAL SERVICES, Capt. J. B. Torinus '34; and STUDENT TRAINING REGIMENTS, Cpls. R. Harris '38, E. Reingold '4O. Approximately fifteen alumni are at present on the receiving end as Officer Candidates and another half dozen or so are assigned to other units on the Post.
We all remember an expression that went something like this, "We don't mind it, it's a dry cold." At present, most of us are moaning, "We do mind it, it's a wet cold." However, there are still some chubbers around in their shirt sleeves which is all right when the sun is out.
A V-mail letter from Capt. S. G. Burnett '40, organizer of "The Dartmouth Club of Ft. Benning," indicates his safe arrival overseas. Lt. G. A. Garrison '40, a recent OC graduate, has taken to the silk and is now in training with the Parachute Infantry here.
Our last meeting was held on February 20, and was our first mixed affair. We all had our usual good time.
