"E" Award

Theodore S. Cart '20 was honored by the government on February 19, when the Atlantic Products Corporation, Trenton, N. J., of which he is the founder and president, received the Army-Navy "E" Award. This is the highest honor which the government can bestow on an industry.

"Ted" Cart's concern is one of the three large luggage companies in this country, and so far is the only canvas equipment manufacturer to receive this citation. His company has been called upon by the War Department to give up its ordinary peacetime production in order to furnish the various branches of our armed forces with field bags, naval aviation hand bags, parachute bags, jungle packs, rucksacks, gas mask cases, and aviation mechanics' aprons.

At the conclusion of the presentation ceremonies, Ted was host at a dinner party to his 550 employees, who, by their hard work and constant loyalty, had made this award possible.
