A SECOND GIFT to the Charles M. Stern Jr. . Memorial Fund, bringing the principal to a total of $110, has been made by Edward J. Guilfoile, of Rensselaer, N. Y., a friend of the Stern family and president of the Rensselaer County Bank and Trust Company.
The Fund was established some months ago in memory o£ Ensign Stern '36, who was the first Dartmouth man to lose his life in active service in this war. He was killed during the attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941.
The principal of the Fund will be allowed to accumulate until after the war and will be allocated at that time.
