THE ANNUAL MEETING OF the General Association of Alumni was held in Hanover June 25. Amos Blandin '18, vice president of the Association, presided. Following the invocation by Dr. Roy B. Chamberlin, the Secretary reported that William J. Minsch '07 of New York City had been elected alumni trustee for a second term of five years. The Secretary also reported on the Alumni Fund stating that the Fund, as of that date, totaled $201,000 from 10,200 contributors and further contributions were expected considerably to increase the above remarkable and spectacular achievement.
Donald L. Barr '18 was called upon for a statement in regard to the 25th reunion gift of the class of 1918. He predicted that the total would be at least $18,000 by June 30 when the chairman of the committee, David L. Garratt, will turn the full amount over to President Hopkins. The report of the nominating committee was given by Gordon Bridge '24. Other members were: William P. Kimball '28, chairman, and Forrest Branch '33. The following officers for 1943-1944 were elected:
President, Sigurd S. Larmon '14; Vice Presidents, Robert J. Holmes '09 and Edward E. Martin '19; Secretary-Treasurer, Sidney C. Hayward '26; Statistical Secretary, John J. Comstock '77, Executive Committee; Harold W. Mason '17, chairman, Dr. Charles C. Merrill '94, Ralph W. Hawkes '99, David S. Austin '04, Alfred A. Adams Jr. '24, F. William Andres '29 and John W. Knibbs III '34.
