ATTENDANCE AT OUR MONTHLY dinner- meetings through the winter and spring has simmered down to the old guard and a few of the younger men unable to get release from essential occupations, but we still carry on. On June 3rd, our annual election of officers made Don Mason '13, president; Chauncey Colton '35, vice president; Bob Hazard '29, vice president in charge of entertainment; Hal Hastings '00, secretary; and Ben Kenney, Dartmouth Father, treasurer.
Treasurer Kenney brought to the meeting for our inspection the handsome new trophy cup, which was presented by President Mason next evening to St. Paul's School, winner of the Maryland Scholastic La Crosse Championship.
Only one applicant from Baltimore was admitted to Dartmouth this spring, Brian Phillips, a graduate of the Oilman Country School. Dick Clarke '15 came to Baltimore a year ago and became "one of us" from the start. Now he is returning to New York, much to our regret. The Secretary has had pleasant visits recently with Lieut. C. L. Robinson '31, now acting as local War Department Agent for handling special types of insurance known as "Defense Risks," and with Kendall Banning '02, whom he had not seen since college days. Banning is working on a special assignment for the Army Ordnance Department and reports that Dan Chase '14 is working in his office.
Dartmouth Men coming to the vicinity of Baltimore may get in touch with local alumni by calling Harold R. Hastings '00, during office hours at U. S. Fidelity & Guaranty Co., Tel. Lexington-0380; at other times at his home, 146 W. Lanvale Street, Tel. Madison-2893-J.
