This book, lavishly illustrated, describes our new and immense fighting fleet, the ships of our allies, and of our enemies; in short, as the title says, all the warships of the world.
It is difficult to imagine any member of our Navy without such a book. It is packed full of information about every kind of ship. There are small biographies of our fighting ships, more than 900 stories in all, telling of the record of our ships in this war.
American terminology and measurements are used throughout. It has been edited both for the expert and the layman.
There is a naval glossary which explains all terms used in the text.
Crammed full of useful information, this book is a credit to the authors and the publisher.
