MRS. FORD K. SAYRE has been appointed Manager of the Hanover Inn succeeding her husband who was killed in an airplane crash on the Pacific Coast on July 23. Mrs. Sayre, known to numerous Dartmouth men as Peggy, has been Assistant Manager of the Inn since 1936 and, for the past two years, has been Acting Manager while her husband served as a Captain in the Army Air Corps. For three years before taking over the management of the Inn, Ford and Peggy Sayre were co-managers of Dartmouth-at- Moosilauke, Warren, N. H., for the Dartmouth Outing Club.
Mrs. Sayre, whose maiden name was Margaret Lincoln, was born in Westbrook, Me., and attended Smith College in the Class of 1935. She left Smith at the time of her marriage in 1933.
