We are pleased to report that Thurston has made an excellent recovery from his hospital experience and is again busy on the final work on his latest book.
Arthur Chase's grandson Robert Chase Jr. '4l completed a course in Meteorology at M. I. T., and is now training for Air Pilot at Moody Field,Ga. Bob'syounger brother, Leonard, was accepted at Dartmouth but enlisted in the Air Force instead, and is now a second lieutenant, stationed at Moody Field as an instructor. Arthur's daughter Mrs. Merrill, has one son who is chief meteorologist for Pan American Grace Air Ways on the West Coast of South America.
Marden's grandson William Marden Jr. is a pilot in the Air Force. Another grandsont he son of Dr. Harold E. Marden is taking basic training at Camp Upton, after finishing a pre-medical course at Dartmouth. Both of Marden's sons graduated from Dartmouth as his father and brother did before him.
Newton in Winter Park is planning a "round-up" of Dartmouth men there in March. He leaves for the north around May i. Your secretary and wife will end their tenth season in St. Petersburg, Fla., about May 1 if they can get transportation to their summer home in Vermont. Luckily our car was left in the north last fall.
The responses to our request for letters was so good that even in condensed form they made an eight page printed pamphlet which no doubt is in your hands by now—if not, write for a copy.
Since there are but twelve living members of the class this may be the last class report to be issued. Again we thank you for your cooperation and continuance.
