Greetings '76!
Congratulations are in order for David P. Spalding, who has just been appointed Dartmouth's vice president for alumni relations. David will replace Stanley Colla '66,Tu'86, who has held that position since 1993. David is one of the founding partners of the Cypress Group LLC, a private equity group in New York. Prior to his work with Cypress, he was a managing partner of Lehman Brothers. He has also been a very active Dartmouth alumnus, currently as a member of the Presidents Leadership Council and formerly as a member of the Dartmouth College Fund Committee and as a member or co-chair of the reunion giving committees for the 20th, 25 th and 30 th reunions of his class. As a Dartmouth student he was a member of the debate team, Alpha Delta and WDCR. Best wishes to David as he returns to Hanover in his new position.
Other than David's news, I'm empty. I can pass along that our 30th reunion will be taking place in Hanover Thursday, June 15, 2006, through Sunday, june 18,2006. I'm sure our reunion committee will start passing along information sometime soon as those dates will be upon us before you know it.
Also, try checking out Mark Friedman's '76 Web page, which can be accessed through the College Web site. He's provided links to classmate Web pages and articles about classmates that he's accumulated through the past few years.
As far as other information goes, help me out. Take a minute to jot an e-mail. It's painless, and despite the fact that you may feel it's not much, there's a classmate out there who wants to hear about you.
Take care and send news!
