Meneely, director of that portion of the V-12 curriculum. Entitled TheWar's Background, his article begins on Page 13. Another series continued in this issue is that dealing with the personalities behind the names of Dartmouth buildings. Prof. Leon Burr Richardson's May installment is StreeterHall, starting on Page 17. A brief account of the loss in action of Lt. Charles M. "Stubbie" Pearson '42 will be found on Page 19, where we also reprint the stirring valedictory which he delivered to the College in May, 1942.
