Lauterbach Lectures

RICHARD E. LAUTERBACH '35, associate editor of Life magazine, spoke in Dartmouth Hall on Feb. 6 on "These Are the Russians." The lecture, which had the same title as Mr. Lauterbach's forthcoming book on the U.S.S.R., was originally scheduled for Jan. 23 but an attack of pneumonia sent the lecturer to Dick's House on Jan. 22 and postponed the lecture until his recovery,

Mr. Lauterbach has just returned from a 10-months stay in the Soviet Union during which he was permitted to talk freely with the Russian people and members of the armed forces, was the only foreign correspondent to accompany an official party to the opening of one of the Polish murder camps and was a member of Eric Johnston's party on his recent tour of Russia.
