Transportation Wizard

A tribute was paid to Warren C. Kendall '99, chairman of the American Railroads Association, Car Service Division and a native of Vermont, in the leading article of the January issue of The Vermonter, the Green Mountain State's magazine.

"No words," the article said in commenting on the freight transportation miracle effected by Mr. Kendall from Pearl Harbor on, "can express the gratitude of the nation due this man." Mr. Kendall was in sole charge, the article states, of moving a freight tonnage of over three times that of 1939 and of making deliveries exactly on schedule.
