ON DECEMBER 1 the Executive Committee of the Club adopted resolutions establishing "The Dartmouth Alumni Club of Washington Scholarship Fund. The amount of the scholarship award shall not exceed $750.00 annually and shall be made by the Club's Committee on Selection to a candidate from the metropolitan area of Washington, D. C., who shall show financial need for the award and shall be accepted by the College." There are three trustees for the fund and Warren Kendall '99, George Morris '11 and Percy H. Russell '29 were appointed by the President and approved by the Executive Committee. Charles A. Stickney Jr. '21 was appointed Chairman of the Fund Solicitation Committee.

The Club has just suffered a great loss. Barry Sullivan '36 has left town to go to an executive post, title to be agreed upon later, with the Brown Rubber Company of Lafayette, Ind. Barry says the firm makes foam rubber and you can check the product in many train seats, if you can get one. For many years Barry has been Secretary-Treasurer of the Club. Had he limited his efficient efforts to this double barrelled job the Club would have been more than amply served. However, he never limited his support, and sparked many of the Club's dinners, smokers, and other activities. Always informed, decisive and master of the quick compromise, Barry has given the writer a very pleasant education in the care and feeding of alumni clubs. The Club wishes Barry the best of luck in his new work.

Herb Harwood '26, has agreed to act as Secretary-Treasurer, and certainly will be a good one. Assistant to Herb, as to Barry, will remain this sporadic correspondent, and equally sporadic assistant, sporadic due to his frequent disappearances into the West Virginia hills.

F. Stirling Wilson 'i6, the one man Dart- mouth Club of Punta Arenas, Chile, was responsible for one of our best luncheon meetings. Stirling brought Commander Don- ald Mclntyre, Chilean Naval Attache, to talk to us on January 30. Commander Mclntyre gave a very able talk on the industrial and agricultural conditions in Chile and added a visual education on the subject with sound and silent pictures.
