IN COOPERATION WITH the Office of Defense Transportation, Dartmouth classes and alumni groups have adopted the policy of no formal alumni reunions or meetings in Hanover in the near future or until war conditions permit. This continuation of Dartmouth's wartime policy has been endorsed by officers of the Alumni Council.
Last fall some of the older classes requested approval for scheduling reunions in Hanover this spring and tentative plans for a few class gatherings were made until ODT's travel ban caused abandonment of all formal alumni meetings for the time being. The executive committees of the Dartmouth Secretaries Association and the Dartmouth Treasurers Association have voted to postpone their annual meetings at the College for one year, or longer if required by the war. Regional meetings of the Class Agents are being held, however, in Boston, New York and Chicago.
The Alumni Council adopted in 1942 a policy of "no class reunions until after the war." It is planning a great Hanover homecoming for Dartmouth men after hostilities are over.
