Two COLLEGE CHAPEL SERVICES have been held in the past two months in the Rollins Chapel at which distinguished clergymen were the guest preachers. At the most recent service on May 20, Dr. Willard L. Sperry, Dean of the Harvard Divinity School, preached on "Good News From a Far Country." The Dean, before accepting the call to Harvard in 1922, held pastorates in Congregational Churches in Fall River and Boston. He is in charge of the Memorial Chapel at Harvard and has been Plummer Professor of Christian Morals at the University since 1929.
Dr. Bernard Iddings Bell, of St. John's Cathedral, Providence, R. ., delivered the sermon at the Chapel service on April 15. The clergyman and author, who is widely known for his forthright attacks on various spiritual ills, preached on the theme, "God Is Not Dead."
The music at both services was by the Dartmouth Glee Club with Professor Maurice F. Longhurst as organist.
