BILL CUNNINGHAM '19, Boston Herald columnist and radio commentator, and William McCarter '19, College Director of Athletics, were the guest speakers at the annual spring dinner of the Dartmouth Club of Washington.
At the head table for the gathering, which was attended by 150 Dartmouth men in the Washington area, were Senator Charles W. Tobey of New 'Hampshire, who received an honorary degree from the College in 1929; Representative Joseph W. Martin, minority leader of the National House of Representatives; Fred Pearce '15, alumni councillor elect; Nathaniel G. Burleigh '11; Col. Ralph Burns; Representative Sherman Adams '20, of New Hampshire; Nelson Lee Smith '20, Federal Power Commissioner; Kenneth Harvey '24; John Sullivan '21, assistant secretary of the Navy for Air; Edward Stafford '11, alumni councillor; Henry P. Blair '89; and George Maurice Morris '11, past president of the American Bar Association.
