The postgraduate training program of the Medical School and the Department of Medicine and Surgery of the Veterans Administration at the hospital at White River, in affiliation with the Hitchcock Hospital, Hitchcock Clinic and the School, has begun in Anaesthesiology, Pathology and Medicine, with residents on duty. The Surgical Service will start shortly. Among the requirements for appointment at present is included "active duty as a medical officer." There are 239 beds available for teaching and the average census is about evenly divided between the two services. It is expected that this center will be maintained as a general medical and surgical hospital with treatment offered in all specialties. A full account of the program and personnel will be presented in the next issue.

The Fellowship Program of the School has now reached a significant level of enrollment. Dwight Parkinson, M'gg, who began a Junior Fellowship on 1 October, became a Clinical Fellow in Surgery on 1 April. Austin R. Doctor Baketel maintains his residence at Greenland which he occupies for part of each year. 1928 Edmund V. Betts took the course in the Kenny treatment and became twenty-four hour companion, nurse, and physiotherapist and brought him through, and he says that is not the usual matrimonial tribute either but a straight clinical notation.
