THE DARTMOUTH CLUB of Cincinnati enjoyed its first postwar meeting at the University Club on Tuesday evening, September 17. A large and enthusiastic group turned out for the occasion with Amos P. Foster '04 representing the oldest class and Roy E. Chenderlin '47 being the most recent graduate.

President Jim Traquair '26, who for many years has been the Dartmouth Club to most Cincinnatians, presided at the dinner and for the election of new officers. The following slate proposed by the nominating committee was elected: President—John C. Egbert '39; Vice President and Chairman of College Admissions Committee—James E. Traquair '26; Treasurer—Frank H. Simpson '41; SecretaryLewis K. Johnstone '41; Corresponding Secretary—Stacy H. Hill '41; Entertainment Chairman—Harrison P. Warrener '39.

John Egbert, after accepting for the new officers, took charge of the interesting and at times fervent discussion that followed an activities program outlined by the Hill, Johnstone, Simpson committee. Frank "Pop" Nairne '37, a recent addition to the Cincinnati group, was prevailed upon by his cohorts Bob Keeler '36 and Elliott Palmer '36 to explain some of the procedures and policies of the Chicago and New York Alumni Clubs. George Mosher '30 and Robert E. Lee Jr. '31, with the wholehearted support of Lew Sisson '11, led a spirited attack that was only successfully turned aside by the timely arrival of a piano and the ever-popular liquid refreshments. Everyone had a good time and departed in high spirits—some neutral and others perhaps not so neutral.
