The secretary has a correction to make. When the notes for the November MAGAZINE were written he, with Mrs. Austin, fully expected to fly from Boston to St. Petersburg, but the weather decreed otherwise. They left Boston as schedued, but dense fog over New York prevented the plane from landing so it returned to Boston. No reservations being available for several days it was decided to make the trip by automobile, and a very successful trip it was, with good weather and good roads all the way.
St. Petersburg and Florida in general are expecting a record number of winter visitors. With the housing situation already acute it is quite probable that many will be unable to find accommodations. Those coming here without knowing where they are to live are likely to experience considerable difficulty in finding quarters.
With a record citrus crop expected with attending high prices, together with increased rentals for houses and apartments, the State should enjoy maximum prosperity this winter.
