Devoted to the aim of keeping people well instead of getting them cured, the Cleveland Health Museum, the first foundation of its kind in the United States, has awarded a bronze plaque to Dr. Robert M. Stecher '19, trustee of the institution, commending him as Foundation Benefactor. The ceremony at which Dr. Stecher was honored was broadcast over the National Broadcasting Company. Known for the versatility of his interests, Dr. Stecher is on the executive committee of the Friends of the Dartmouth Library and is responsible for the gift to the College of rare volumes and manuscripts from the famous Rowfant Club of Cleveland. In 1945 he was elected vice president of the Dartmouth Alumni Council. A graduate of the Harvard Medical School, he is on the staff of the Cleveland City Hospital and is the author of many scientific articles.
