THE DARTMOUTH, which was forced to suspend publication in June of 1943, will return to the campus at the start of the March term. It will publish three times a week at first but expects to have its traditional daily schedule fully restored by next fall.
The weekly Dartmouth Log, which the College established as a wartime substitute for The Dartmouth, ended its career with the issue of February 15. Since July 1943 it had published 126 issues devoted entirely to news and features, without any attempt to conduct an editorial column representative of official College or Navy views.
The rejuvenation of The Dartmouth is being directed by Jerry Tallmer '42, editor-in-chie£ in 1941-42, and Alexander Fanelli '42, editorial chairman of the same directorate, both of whom withdrew for Army service right after Pearl Harbor and are returning in March to finish out their senior year.
The postwar Dartmouth will make its debut on March 12, the day after classes start, will appear again on March 19, and thereafter will be published regularly on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
