Hillman Memorial

Plans for a memorial to the late Harry Hillman were announced last month by Charles F. McGoughran '20 and five other members of an alumni committee organized to raise funds for this tribute to one of Dartmouth's immortal athletic figures. In a printed announcement sent to members of Dartmouth varsity teams during Harry Hillman's long service as track coach and football trainer, the committee proposed first, to erect on the athletic field a native-granite boulder with a suitable bronze marker, and then, with any surplus funds, to establish a Memorial Loan Fund for needy students, such as Coach Hillman used to conduct personally.
