The next night, the Indians moved to Morningside Heights and came out on the short end of a 60-56 score against the Columbia Lions. Although defeated, Coach Lampe's boys came through with their second highest offensive total to date, which was encouraging if not conclusive. The Green played by fits and starts and produced a rally toward the end of the game that carried it within striking distance of the Light Blue, but not quite far enough. The scoring was done almost exclusively by the offensive members of the quintet, with forward Paul Campbell again leading, this time with 16 tallies. Leede and Brindley were close behind with 14 and 13 points, respectively. Campbell achieved his respectable total by counting for six field goals and four fouls, while Leede scored five goals and four fouls, and Brindley six baskets and one free throw. Again the Green suffered from its inability to control the rebounds,, with Columbia's gigantic Walt Budko snaring most of the loose spheroids in that sector.
