The Dartmouth Club News reports that the Long Island Dartmouth Tribe held their annual meeting on December 4, and that GuyBostwick was elected treasurer. John Shaw was elected a member of the executive committee.

An interesting card from Joe Russakoff, written in a rather original style of shorthand, informs us that Carlton Porter is editor of a new business magazine called "Tell," in the field of marketing. The first issue is scheduled to appear in March. Joe also recalls reading some time ago that Fred Stubbs was elected to the American College of Surgeons. He further reports reading recently in the New York papers a story about a blind girl who is being treated by a Dr. Donald Bogart of New York, and wonders if this could be our classmate. No doubt it is because Don is practicing in New York and is specializing in eye work.

We are glad to report that Dick Lougee, Professor of Physiography, has moved nearer to Boston. Recently of the Department of Geology at Colby College, Waterville, Maine, Dick is now teaching at the Graduate School of Geography, Clark University, Worcester, Mass.

Had a grand letter from Curt Wright who is now a partner in the law firm of Reno and Wright in Champaign, 111. Curt encloses a very attractive newspaper picture of the entire family which includes Dr. Eleanor Wright and their daughter Wickie as well as Curt. Lawyer Wright, who from the picture looks as young as ever, reports:

The youngest member is the only one now attending school. Doc E. R. Wright took one course in the law school last spring, claiming she was doing so merely to improve her argumentative powers for domestic purposes, but hasn't had much to say about taking further courses recently.

Saw Orth at his home about a month ago. He and his family all seemed right in the pink. Has two very smart youngsters—Pennie and Janie. His business good—everything fine. Bill Abbotts office now adjoins Orth's. Just like Suite 3 twenty years ago. Both in their same, respective, different businesses as before.

We recently had a very interesting letter from Bob Birch informing us that he had just spent a most enjoyable day in Hanover, his first visit there since June 1927. The letter was written from Northampton, Mass., where he expected to be for the next few days. Bob failed to report on his present work and permanent location, but we still hope to see him in Boston before he returns home.

George Provost, who has done such a fine job as Class Agent in the last two Alumni Fund campaigns, has asked to be relieved of this responsibility due to the pressure of business and the fact that his work requires considerable traveling. We have just learned that George Howell has agreed to take the job of class agent for the coming year. We are veryhappy for the class that he has agreed to accept this responsibility and know that from him we will receive able and efficient leadership in this important work.

It is with deep regret that we report the death of two of our classmates. Wilbur Imbs died on May 30, 1946 and George Morcroft died on August 24, 1946. Obituary notices will appear in an early issue of this MAGAZINE.

Bed Williams has apparently retired from the Marine Corps and is now living in Churdan, lowa. We seem to recall that Bed had purchased a farm in lowa shortly before the war and assume that he has now returned to the rural life.

Don't forget to remember those three important days, June 20, 21, 22, when you will shove aside all those troubles and cares for at least three glorious days in Hanover. Start throwing a little folding money in the old sock now for the time will soon be here. We'll be seeing you at the Twentieth.
