William T. Bailey, M.D., who suffered a severe sacro-iliac strain last August, in- capacitating him from practice, feels that he is now on his way to full recovery.

On January 30, Rev. William P. Ladd, D.D., dean of the Berkeley Divinity School at Yale University, and Mrs. Ladd were tendered a dinner at the Ritz Tower, New York City, by Mrs. Alma C. Clayburgh, following which the hostess took her guests to the performance of "Come of Age" at Maxine Elliott's theater.

On January 30, John Abbott retired as president of the Winchester Country Club, Winchester, Mass., completing a service of twenty-five years in that office. Abbott was presented with a silver pitcher and cocktail cups, and made president emeritus.
