Alumni Council

ELECTION CONTESTS FOR places on the Alumni Council are proceeding this month with mail ballots distributed in the New England and Central States Districts. As announced in these pages last month, the two New England candidates are Charles B. Rice '23 of Hartford, Conn., and John Parker '29 of Portland, Me. In the Central States, voters will determine the election of either Robert C. Borwell '25 of Chicago or James E. Traquair '26 of Cincinnati. The polls will close in Hanover June 10.

The sudden death of James C. Flagg '89 of San Diego on March 30 removed his name from the ballot as a nominee from District VII. Mr. Flagg had been nominated for an Alumni Council vacancy from Southern California together with Walter D. Douglas 2nd '31 of Los Angeles. Mr. Douglas now becomes the only nominee for the position and will begin the Council term of two years on July 1.
