Best Class Treasurer
July 1947

As the year's outstanding handler of class finances, Chandler H. Foster '15 was honored at the annual dinner of class and club officers in Hanover on May 17. The citation which accompanied the award of a Ticknor print of early Dartmouth was as follows:

The recipient of our award has been active in Dartmouth affairs for a good many years. He is a trustee of the Dartmouth Educational Association of Boston and one of his professional jobs is to audit the financial books of Dartmouth College, which he has done for twenty years. He can tell you almost—but not quite as much about the business affairs of this institution as Halsey Edgerton! He was president of the. Dartmouth Treasurers Association in 1943 and has been treasurer of the Class of 1915 for the past seven years.

Since becoming treasurer of his class the group circulation of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE among classmates has increased every year. Right now he has topped all previous years and his percentage of subscribers to living graduates is 149%, higher than the figure of any other class in the alumni body.

More power to our prize winner, Chandler H. Foster '15, whom we hail as Dartmouth's Class Treasurer of theYear.
