DARTMOUTH COLLEGE this summer will play host to The Brookings Institution of Washington, D. C., which will hold a two- week seminar on problems of international relations, starting August 18. Participants and their families, expected to total about 150 persons, will be housed in Butterfield and Russell Sage Halls. The daily seminar sessions will be held in Baker Library.

Also meeting in Hanover in August will be the Jury of Award for the $200,000 in prizes offered by the James F. Lincoln Arc Welding "Foundation for papers dealing with the subject of "Design for Progress." Some 15 to 25 professors of machine design and structural design from various colleges and universities will gather here as guests of the Thayer School of Engineering and will be housed in Massachusetts Hall. Prof. Joseph J. Ermenc of the Thayer School faculty will be a member of the Jury of Award.
