The largest group ever to attend a Dartmouth function in the state of Oklahoma was on hand to greet Dean Laycock at the dinner given in his honor at Tulsa on February 16. Forty-eight sat down to dinner at the Tulsa Club, and of this number over thirty were Dartmouth alumni. Fathers of Dartmouth men, high school students entering the College within a year or so, and other guests were included in the assembled group.
Dartmouth men from beyond the state of Oklahoma came from Dallas, Texas; Fort Worth, Texas; Fort Smith, Arkansas; Hutchinson, Kansas; and Winfield, Kansas.
The Dartmouth Alumni Association of Oklahoma presented Dean Laycock with a copy of Wah-Kon-Tah, a story of the Osage nation. The presentation was made by the author, J. J. Mathews, a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and Oxford, now residing in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
