Inaugural Delegates

PRESIDENT DICKEY will represent the College at the inauguration of three college presidents during October. He will attend the inauguration of Dr. Arthur S. Adams as president of the University of New Hampshire, October 9; of Dwight D. Eisenhower as president of Columbia University, October 12; and of Andrew G. Truxal as president of Hood College, October 21. Professor Truxal resigned from the Dartmouth faculty in June in order to accept his new position after 20 years as a member of the sociology department.

Dartmouth will also be represented by Donald R. Simpson '29 at the 50th Anniversary Convocation and Banquet at Northeastern University, October 2; by Haskell Cohn '22 at the inauguration and installation of Abram Leon Sachar as president of Brandeis University, October 7-8; by Dean William P. Kimball '28 of Thayer School at the installation of Jess Harrison Davis as president of the Thomas S. Clarkson Memorial College of Technology, October 8; by Allan B. Kernan '21 at the inauguration of William Terry Wickham as president of Heidelberg College, October 8-10; by President Emeritus Hopkins at the inauguration of John Kemper as headmaster of Phillips Andover Academy, October 15; by Frank C. Moore '02 at the inauguration of Ralph Albert Van Meter as president of the University of Massachusetts, October 16; and by Edwin H. Scott 13a at the Centennial Exercises of Bessie Tift College, Forsyth College, Georgia, October 8-9.
