Makers of fine chothes

The Philosophy of Catholic Higher Education (The Proceedings of the Workshop onthe Philosophy of Catholic Higher Education,Conducted at the Catholic University ofAmerica from June 13th to June 24th, 1947), a volume of 202 pages, has been edited by Roy J. Deferrari '12 and published by the CatholicUniversity of America Press. This volume contains the proceedings of the second Workshop on Catholic Higher Education. The present volume contains the main presentation of all the chief topics of the Workshop, together with the results and conclusions attained in the various seminars.

Glacial Till in New Hampshire by Lawrence Goldthwait '36 has been published as part 10 of the Mineral Resource Survey, NewHampshire State Planning and DevelopmentCommission, Concord.

International Paper Company 1898-1948After Fifty Years has been published as a finely illustrated book of 110 pages. The introduction to this book is by John H. Hinman '08, President, and Richard J. Cullen, Chairman of the Corporation. The volume contains a very fine full page portrait of Mr. Hinman.

David M. Larrabee '32, with others, is the compiler of a U. S. Geological Survey map Construction Materials and Non-metallicMineral Resources of Montana.

Majesty and Mystery of our Migrant Birds, by George Dock Jr. '16, appears in the NewYork Times Magazine for September 26.

David Bradley '38 is the author of No Placeto Hide. What the Bomb Did at Bikini. This appears in the October Atlantic and is the first of three installments, to be published later in book form.

Dr. Donald A. Shaskan '30, in collaboration with Hendrik Lindt, is the author of TheTheme of the Aggressive Mother DuringGroup Therapy, Analysis of a Group Interview, reprinted from the July issue of ThePsychoanalytic Review.

A Laboratory Experiment on Alpha-Particle Scattering, by Sanborn C. Brown '35, has been reprinted from the May issue of American Journal of Physics.
