As OF OCTOBER 10, enrollment for the 1. first semester of 1948-49 was 2,953, slightly less than the record-breaking 3,001 of a year ago. Represented in the student body are classes ranging from 1936 to 1952, with the freshman class numbering 724, one of the largest in the history of the College.
In the Associated Schools, 67 are at Thayer School, 170 at Tuck and 93 at the Medical School.
The freshmen registered the week of September 28 and the upperclassmen the day before Convocation, October 1. The exact number of war veterans enrolled this year was unknown when the MAGAZINE went to press, but it is not expected to be over 50 percent of the total student body. There are 248 married students living in Wigwam Circle and Sachem Village.
