A SERIES OF MEETINGS was held in New York, Boston and Chicago in late October and early November to acquaint alumni interviewers with the objectives and problems of the College's Selective Process of Admission, and as a prelude to alumni interviewing of applicants for the Class of 1953. Representing the College at these, meetings were Albert I. Dickerson '30, Director of Admissions, and Robert K. Hage 35, Assistant Director of Admissions.
More than 60 attended the New York meeting October 26 at the Dartmouth Club, where Sidney J. Flanigan '23 represented the Alumni Council. H. Clifford Bean '16, chairman of the Alumni Council's committee on admissions, presided at the November 10 meeting of 60 alumni interviewers from the Boston area at the Algonquin Club. Approximately 40 alumni interviewers were expected to attend aS similar meeting Nov. 18 in Chicago at the Union Club, where Justin A. Stanley '33 was the Alumni Council representative.
Copies were distributed of a revised edition of an alumni interviewer's manual prepared by Charles B. Rice '33, Percy H. Russell Jr. '39, and Mr. Bean.
